Senior Hardware Engineer

The Job:

Teton is growing fast and we need to mature our production capabilities and scalability, while also developing next version of our hardware. Teton have a small hardware lab able to produce prototypes quickly and have assembly inhouse for a tight vertical integrated stack from hardware to software. As senior hardware engineer you will be a decision maker in when to outsource and when to customise hardware, having deep technical knowledge while also partnering with manufactorers producing parts and suppliers. You will you need a general understanding of mechanics, design, electronics, and firmware. There will be a tight collaboration with our fleet software team in the intersections between hardware and software.

Responsibilities:

Streamline and scale up production or current hardware

Developing and controlling timelines. Adding reasonable buffers and updating the timeline runningly.

Establish partnerships with suppliers and manufactures

Develop next version of our hardware

Qualifications:

Scaled up or worked in production of electronic hardware to plus 10.000 units

Knowledge of DFM for large productions & assembly line setups

Fundamental knowledge of circuit design

Knowledge of PCB manufacturing technologies, and DFM. Engage with PCB/PCBA vendors for a successful PCB fabrication/assembly. 

Solid knowledge on manufactoring process and CAD design

Strong electrical engineering background in board-level

Hands-on experience in system-level design
