We are seeking an Academic Employee (A-TAP) to join our dynamic research group of approximately 8-10 people funded by the Villum Foundation. Our research focuses on exploring the relationship between the evolution of life and the evolution of the Earth surface environment. This group as part of the bigger Nordcee group of the Biology Department of the University of Southern Denmark. 

You will be working with sponges in relationship to the oxygen content of the environment, and the position will involve some experimental work including field work.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a knack for experimental design and knowledge about sponge biology. The ideal applicant should demonstrate expertise in utilizing microsensor technologies for precise oxygen measurements and a proven competence in maintaining marine sponges in laboratory settings.

The position is for 2 years starting from April 1st 2024.

Employment shall take place in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
