The purpose of the role
Reshape is looking for a Data Scientist with exceptional skills in data visualization, ML and computer vision to join our expanding Technical Success team. As our new Data Scientist, you’ll be working on pretty spectacular things - analyzing microbiological data and visualizing it to scientists to enable a sustainable future together with other top professionals within Product Design, Product Management, Customer Consulting and Hardware Developers. You’ll be building the data layer that powers our lab automation robots, and visualizing it on our cloud platform that serves results and manages data for our customers.

This is what you will be doing:

• Working closely together with customers and customer success to solve our customer’s problems.
• Perform analysis for customers, both manually and setting up pipelines to run automatically.
• Preparing and sending professional reports to customers.
• Careful and methodical work, as results are incredibly sensitive. Data integrity is paramount and a high priority for our customers.
• Being great at evaluating how well a model works without over-complicating it.

What we value:

• Ability to quickly understand problems and execute.
• 3+ years of experience in Python for Data Science, including expertise in data visualization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience with image analysis and development of computer vision models.
  • Specifically we’re using frameworks such as OpenCV, PyTorch, Ultralytics, HuggingFace
• Domain knowledge in Microbiology or incredible curiosity about the field.
• Enthusiasm for customer interaction and a great capacity to understand and emphasize with people.
• Experience from (or a strong interest in) other fast-growing startups.
• Thrive in a trust-based environment with a lot of freedom.
