About our team:

You have the unique opportunity to join a newly established tribe in Danske Bank TECH organisation. You will be part of the senior management team building and running a tribe of 150+ leaders and employees on a mission critical to Danske Bank. We will work in cross functional squads, that will be accelerating the tech transformation being “injected” into different tribes across Danske Bank. 

The newly established tribe, Reduce Legacy, mission will be to remove, and help other tribes to minimize, legacy technology and technical debt. Our vision and our purpose are to move Danske Bank from legacy architecture and legacy tech ranging decades back to a modern tech setup based on technologies fit for purpose. In the process we will have to solve problems like moving banking functionality from homegrown frontend frameworks to new and industry available frameworks, moving batch heavy operations to event-driven near real time processing, and rebuilding mainframe-based functionality in distributed micro-service architecture, while maintaining properties like transactions, audit logs, etc.

The squads in Reduce Legacy Tribe will be distributed across the globe with majority of employees working out of Bangalore, India. As Tribe Architect you will become a major driver for Danske Bank’s technological transformation. 

 
Your daily work activities:  
As our new tribe architect, you will have HR responsibility of the architecture chapter and act as a sparring partner for approximately 10 architects. We work across borders, so it is important you enjoy working with multiple cultures, as we will have colleagues in India, Lithuania, and the Nordics. You will be reporting directly to the Tribe Lead. 
 
You will also: Drive our technical alignment across all squads and system landscape  Create target architecture, architecture roadmaps etc. aligned with Reduce Legacy program and the ambitions of our stakeholders in business and other Tribes  Collaborating with other architects in the organization  Drive tribe-wide initiatives and give direction to the solution architects in the tribe  Be the technical wingman and sparring partner of the Tribe Lead 

What We Imagine About You  
 
You have: 6+ years of relevant full-time experience and proven track record of impacting technical decisions cross a lager organisation Defined Solution and Enterprise architecture at scale  Hands-on experience and deep understanding of cloud technologies (private/public), standards and operational setup Knowledge within legacy technologies such as Mainframe, DB2, PL/1, Cobol, Batch (or at least do not mind getting in touch with this technology) An inherent aim to collaborate, both within the team and across the organization Excellent written and verbal English language skills A belief that your team can accomplish more together than as separate individuals.

We believe you are a talented team member who deliver technical leadership, by inspiring colleagues through professionalism and proper work ethics, deep technical knowledge, able to be hands-on technical problems, as well as highly capable of collaborating with all stakeholders – in and outside the tribe. 

You can lead discussions, bring leadership as well as provide coaching to let others flourish, and being able to challenge existing thinking based on experience with new technologies. 
 
You have effective communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical peers and senior management and the ability to inspire and motivate large groups of people. You can ensure architecture compliance with enterprise architecture standards and guidelines. 

You are based in Denmark today, as we don´t offer relocation. Your title in job contract will be Leader of team (Tribe Architect).
