Who we are looking for

Ensuring a safe and healthy workplace during operation of an oil and gas field is crucial and it is expected that the right candidate adhere and recognize themselves in this mindset. You are expected to learn and develop further within this area. You are currently enrolled at a university, and we expect your study to be within engineering or similar areas. This position calls for a structured approach to own planning and workload prioritization. Additionally, it requires a strong motivation and interpersonal skills, especially the willingness to learn and ask questions whenever in doubt or just having a strong curiosity for the field. We are looking for a team player with the ability to build relationships and work constructively with others to achieve business goals

Your background

Resident near Esbjerg. Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Engineering. At least 1.5 years remaining in your studies. Basis knowledge of static mechanical engineering Good skills within MS Office programs - Powerpoint presentations, Excel dashboards etc. Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage. Proficiency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

As a student assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with and in collaboration with a dedicated team with strong focus on providing high quality work both onshore and offshore The Inspection department consist of 16 colleagues, with most of them having an engineering background within Structure, Mechanics, Welding or Inspection. We work closely together with the business and local departments in our area of operation.

In the Inspection MethodsTeam, our core activities are related to structure, cranes, pressure vessels and piping on our offshore installations, this containing inspection, leak detection, damage evaluation, risk based assessment evaluations including the onshore management of data.In our team, you will be provided with an in-depth insight into the everyday work life and you will working closely with the different engineers within these areas. Furthermore, you will be interfacing with a multitude of stakeholders across other departments.

This is a great opportunity for you to turn theory from different engineering aspects into practice.

Overall, you will assist with a wide range of tasks including but not limited to:

Assist Piping Inspection inputs incl planning and drawings. Prepare changes and update SAP. Assist on Inspection database updating. Planning of offshore scope of work on Pressure vessels, Cranes, Piping and structure. Search and update technical documentation. Equipment identification and mapping. Prepare management presentations. Focal for Inspection Intranet web page. Support newcomers to the team. Assist on written schemes of examination (WSE).
