Workplace Offers

DBDS is a large national research project based on one of the world's largest biobanks with 170,000 participants, providing 2.5 million plasma samples. The study combines laboratory and registry data with collected phenotype data from, for example, questionnaires. Research here focuses on a range of topics, including health outcomes, genetics, and plasma biomarkers for various diseases.

Job Overview

The research project will focus on early detection of individuals with primary immunodeficiency using data from Danish health registers and DBDS. Your involvement will span all aspects of the study from donor recruitment, through blood sample management and measurement, to data analysis. Close collaboration and communication with personnel across different locations in all five regions of Denmark is key. Furthermore, there are ample opportunities to present results in scientific articles and at international conferences.

 A background in molecular biology, molecular medicine, public health sciences, or a related fieldProficiency in programming languages and analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, or STATA)Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilitiesIndependence and teamwork skillsStructured, engaged, positive approach to work, and readiness for new challengesStrong communication skills in both Danish and English (written and verbal).

The position is based at Department of Clinical Immunology at Aarhus University Hospital under the supervision of Professor Christian Erikstrup. The position is limited to 1 year with the possibility of extension and is a full-time position. Start date is June 1, 2024, or by agreement.

Salary and employment conditions

The appointment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement in the Central Denmark Region with the possibility of additional benefits based on qualifications. Service locations at the Department of Clinical Immunology, Aarhus University Hospital will be Palle Juul-Jensens Boulevard 99 and Olof Palmes Allé 38, 8200 Aarhus N.
