About this opportunity

Welcome to the e-Trading and Derivatives Development.  We add value by building the software platform for our FX trading business in close collaboration with other e-Trading teams and key business stakeholders.  As senior/expert developer, you’ll play a valuable role in delivering efficient trading and sales capabilities that enable Nordea to continue to have competitive offerings that meet the needs of our customers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Hands-on design, code, test, maintain and support event-driven micro-services in Java that implement trade execution, rich integrations and customer trade automation.
• Work with a mix of open-source technologies and our vendor-supplied trading platform.
• Collaborate closely with developers and key business stakeholders in the full cycle from customer needs to technical solutions.
• Take your code all the way to production in close collaboration with our dedicated operations team
• Act as technical expert and role model, contribute to the technical direction, and promote a culture of ownership, quality and technical excellence

You’ll join a team of passionate developers with strong business knowledge embedded in the trading organisation. The role is based in Copenhagen.

• Experience as senior/lead developer on large distributed systems
• Experience with server side development in Java
• Experience with streaming and event-driven software architecture
• Experience with fault-tolerant and self-healing systems
• Relevant degree in computer science, engineering, math or other technical fields

Additional skills/interests, which are beneficial in this role:

• Experience with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Splunk, Gradle, Maven, Oracle SQL or Linux
• Experience with REST APIs, messaging technologies, testing or DevOps
