As our new Mechanical Engineering Manager you will be responsible for driving innovation initiatives and leading a team of mechanical design engineers and prototype engineers within the Product Unit. The Product Unit is part of our Division Fish and is responsible for new product development and product lifecycle of our product portfolio, this team’s main focus is within secondary and further processing of salmon. This is components such as de-heading, filleting, pinboning, slicing and more. Furthermore, you will be a part of the Product Unit management team and play a key role in Innovation leadership in our Støvring location.

What you will be doing: Implement strategy and create a roadmap for the fish equipment to ensure and strengthen market penetration, innovation and operational excellence Identify opportunities from customers, markets and a technology perspective resulting in high quality business cases and value propositions Responsible for the execution of development project plans effectively and efficiently as well as maintaining all products in the product portfolio Responsible for relevant HR tasks, such as: performance reviews, recruitments, need for trainings, development and coaching of team members Close cooperation with other managers from Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Project Management, Research and Product Management as well as Sales, Service, Supply Chain and more

Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering, Food Science, Agri-Technical / Technological or related field Have experience from a similar role preferably from the food industry where you have had several years of managerial responsibility leading a team of specialists Possess strong leadership qualities with motivating personality, while accepting responsibility and being able to make decisions independently Experience in translating technology to machine concepts Preferably experienced with food safety and government regulatory requirements Excellent communication skills and ability to support team development In-depth knowledge and understanding of key relevant technology, as well as preferably having a good understanding of Marel processes and systems Strong English and Danish skills, both written and verbal Experience with working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization.
