With only a few steps away from Nyhavn, the 25hours Hotel Paper Island has found its home. The hotel is located on the island of Christiansholm, also known as Paper Island, which has developed into an uban destination in the heart of Copenhagen. Opening May 2024 the hotel will feature 128 rooms, an Asian restaurant and a Bar.

Job Description

The Head Chef has independent responsibility for setting up and running the kitchen and making sure that the staff has everything a strong team needs. Working in close collaboration together, the kitchen team is responsible for creating a new asian sensation in the heart of Copenhagen. For this exiting task we’re looking forward to welcoming you to our kitchen as Head Chef (m/f/d).

How does your working day look like …

  • You’ll be involved in the conceptual menue development of the restaurant together with our concept partners
  • You’ll assemble your own team, secure cooperation partners, coordinate the pre-opening activities and represent our restaurant on the marek
  • You’ll take responsibility for your budget, and source the products on the market
  • You’ll support your colleagues with a winning smile whenever, once again, all the guests order at the same time. On top of this, you’ll also keep your head above water when there are sudden changes of plan, and make sure that every dish tastes as magnificent as it looks

Qualifications
  • You’ve gained experience of management in a kitchen, and speak English fluently
  • You can inspire your fellow staff just as you can inspire your guests. On top of this, you’re hungry for new food concepts and love asian cuisine
  • You’re passionate about live cooking and asian cuisine, and are known for your organisational skills in the kitchen
  • You’re a doer – and even if you do it wrong sometimes, you openly admit it
  • You’re not just bringing your abilities, but also your character
