As a Project Manager you will lead the project work aiming to create the future foundation for product portfolio development based on a modular strategy. This will require collaboration with experts from various areas and functions, as well as engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
 

What is the job about?

Project Manager role with a high degree of organizational complexity and stakeholder management. You will lead modularization projects in close cooperation with the Chief Architect and establish product platforms for specific product portfolios, utilizing a portfolio masterplan framework. In continuation of this you will secure a smooth transition to product development projects who will execute based on the product platform.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Facilitate push/pull activities across the organization with the purpose to formulate ideas for future modularization projects.
  • Prepare the initiation of concrete modularization projects with scope, time and resources.
  • Take the overall lead of the project through the Modularization stage gate model. Establish a leading team with the responsible for market-, product-, operations- and finance views. Deliver the outcome in terms of an approved portfolio masterplan for a specific product portfolio.
  • Build the project team across the organization and prepare the needed onboarding activities.
  • Map and manage the stakeholders in all phases, hereunder the platform board consisting of top management in our Divisions
  • Structure the project with clear deliveries, timelines, and interdependencies.
  • Track the progress continuously, report KPI’s and status.
  • Set up a meeting structure with clear agendas and minutes of meetings on a regular basis.
  • Facilitate the solution of conflicts and make agreements for how to follow up.
  • Facilitate the preparation of the needed project documentation according to the Modularization stage gate model.
  • Prepare the transition to development projects in cooperation with GPDM(s)
  • Support the Architects in implementing the product platform in the following product development projects.

 

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • MSc/BSc in engineering and/or business administration with 10 years of project management experience.
  • Strong experience in leading industrial product/portfolio projects with high complexity in terms of stakeholders, requirements, broad scope, uncertainties etc.
  • Strong people leader with focus on human wellbeing along with the ability to reach the project targets.
  • Strong communication skills verbally and great presentation skills is a must.
  • Knowledge and understanding of modularity are an advantage.
  • Experience in one or more categories of the Grundfos product portfolio and applications is an advantage.
  • Good business acumen with solid financial understanding and experience with business case / financial calculations (e.g., NPV and cost analysis).
  • Strong understanding of the full value chain, i.e., market, product/technology, and production.
