Welcome to the Trading Data Warehouse & BI team, where you will work in an fast-paced, agile environment, with stakeholders representing Scandinavia’s largest trading floor. We are supporting a wide range of business processes in Nordea’s Trading business domain.

 

About this opportunity

 

As the Lead Data Architect you’ll play an important role in our transition to cloud. You are a data veteran, and knowledgeable on the latest trends in near real time data warehousing in the cloud.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Defining needs around maintainability, testability, performance, security, quality and usability for our future data platform.
  • Designing the data architecture for greater scalability, data quality automation and self-service reporting.
  • Supporting with best practice database design, driving consistent implementation of the data models and a good level of documentation.
  • Evaluating new developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standard.
  • Being the technical expert and mentor other team members on existing and future tech stacks (DataStage, Oracle, Kafka, Snowflake, AWS, PowerBI, SSAS).

 

You’ll join a young team of enthusiastic data professionals across Scandinavia, Poland and India. This particular role is based in Copenhagen.

Your experience and background:

  • Degree in computer science and engineering, mathematical modelling or similar.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience as Data/BI Architect, BI Specialist, Data Engineer (ideally a combination).
  • Experience in large scale production environments and implementation of modern data architectures.
  • Proven track record in migrating on premise data warehouse environments into the cloud.
  • Good understanding of data modelling principles, data classification and matching the focus on implementation details.
