The team for Type Certification lead the activities related to achieving Type Certificates for new products as well as maintaining the certificate through our products lifecycle. The team is responsible for all Type Certificate work related to our turbines for the offshore market. This includes certificate for provisional use of Prototypes as well as the final Certificate. As part of this responsibility, it is also vital to support internal functions working with Project Certificates for individual sales projects.

In connection with the certification activities the team is also member of the international IEC committees.

How to contribute to our vision

The position will be partly managing the team of 6 people and partly leading individual projects. The team’s location is in Brande, Denmark as well as Bangalore, India.

For the position the candidate needs an interest in managing people as well as an ambition to meet overall project milestones in a technical complex and changing environment. Experience and dedication in the technical field of Certification or similar is expected to be able to successfully reach targets.

The role will have a seat in IEC committee around OD-501 Type and Component Certification which is central for everything we do.

More specifically, your main responsibilities as team lead will cover:

Leads, and motivates a group of experienced self-managed Project Managers and coordinators to achieve the targets related to Product Type Certificates.

Responsibility for resource and budget planning towards overall product programs

Secure transparent reporting toward internal stakeholders.

Implements innovative processes and tools to support the certification work by utilizing his/her expertise in his field.

Ensures adherence to defined guidelines, processes and procedures, for type certification.

Take part in international committees around IECRE OD-501 Product Type Certification.

Work close with the specialists, chief engineers, project certification and costumers

Build and maintain strong relation to external certifying entities.

What you need to make a difference

Beside a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change, we also expect that:

You have leadership skills and ambitions to improve status quo of the processes and interaction with the rest of the organization

You have strong and proven project management skills

You have strong knowledge of Product Certification, quality or CE marking and understand the term of technical documentation

As a person you are outgoing and proactive, have an analytical mindset, and you possess strong organizational, coordination and communication skills

In addition, you are a dedicated team player capable of creating and keeping an overview of complex tasks

You have an understanding of cultural barriers and cross-cultural communication and Support diversity in all aspects contributing to the mindset, philosophy, and targets of Siemens Gamesa.

You are fluent in English both orally and in writing.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience which have included responsibilities within certification or similar work.

Bachelor’s or Master degree in engineering field is expected.
