This position is located in Copenhagen, Denmark.

As an IT Supporter in Satair, you will join a team situated in Copenhagen,  Singapore, Beijing, Hamburg, and the US. We provide IT Support to our colleagues in the business on a 24/7 basis, by following the sun. As we are the first step into IT, guiding colleagues and leading them to our experts is also a discipline we practice. 

Your daily tasks will mainly consist of 2 areas (but is not limited to): Resolving IT issues and completing Service Requests.

What the job is …

Your main responsibility is to support our colleagues in the business when we face IT issues or are given a service request. As you’re the first point of contact, the ambition to provide good customer service is a necessity and a timely resolution is a must. 

Central aspects of the job:

Supporting your colleagues with IT Incidents and Service Requests

Drive and coordinate Major Incidents to ensure that we inform our colleagues (internally/externally) and get the Major Incident at hand resolved

Assist our colleagues in Infrastructure & Operations on tasks where hands are needed

Purchase equipment and ensure asset management is done according to our processes

Ensure that IAM activities are done with proper attention and care

Capture and share knowledge through written Knowledge Articles

Work closely with the different Service Desks within the organization of Airbus

How you will contribute to the team

We’re looking for a candidate who likes the IT Support aspect in terms of helping users and making sure that our colleague get what is needed. A skill needed for the job is the ability to park your current task, if an urgent issue arises and very importantly, remember to get back to where you left off. Due to the nature of IT Support, a certain part of our work comes with a level of unpredictability. 

In our company, the aspect of IT Support spans wide from a technical perspective. General knowledge about IT is therefore a necessity in terms of Microsoft Operating Systems, Active Directory e.g. troubleshooting on DNS, Networking and general application understanding.

Your communication skills are important and that means you can engage in a dialogue with a skilled technician but also a colleague that has less understanding of IT than yourself. This will be needed in verbal and written form. On the written aspect, structure and an eye for detail is a plus.

We strive towards applying the principles of ITIL in our ITSM tool and you therefore need to be aware of the basics of ITIL Foundation.

As a person, your default answer to something unknown should not be ,, I don’t know…’’ but rather ,, I’ll investigate and return’’. In some cases, patience is required and you will need it.

What are we looking for? How much experience? What type of experience? 

Broad understanding of IT (hardware, software, network, communication)

A good understanding of the following will be an advantage: 

Network topics such as DHCP, and DNS

Printer troubleshooting and Print Management

Ideally, experience with IT Asset Life Cycle Management (CMDB)

Ideally, experience with writing documentation, as this experience will be required when writing knowledge articles.

ITIL Foundation certified

Bachelor or 1+ years experience within IT Support 

Fluent in English both written and verbally

Written skills that demonstrates structure

Can offer valid references to attest your skills/personality
