In this exciting role you will oversee all retail operation guidelines and training material developed for our franchise stores.
You will be a vital player in ensuring compliance with all Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s store standards by motivating, coaching, and training the franchise teams. Additionally, you will maintain an open dialogue with franchisees to create alignment, gather feedback and share best-practices. You will support our store opening processes in the markets by following up on individual milestones.
This is a role that will require market visits and therefore you must expect business trips to be part of your job. Our current franchise markets in the region are Korea, Japan, Indonesia, and Philippines.
You will report to our Regional Retail Manager, APAC and you will work from Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s office in Singapore.
Job purpose
The Retail Operations Specialist, APAC will oversee all retail operations manuals, guidelines and training material developed for the global franchise stores.
He/she will develop and implement the appropriate operations guidelines and trainings based on the existing and new processes and ways of working with the main goal of supporting franchisees in achieving their growth objectives.
He/She will ensure compliance with all FTC store standards by motivating, coaching, and training the franchisees’ teams and provide clear guidance on improvements. Additionally, he / she will maintain open dialogue with franchisees to create alignment, gather feedback and sharing best practices.
He/She will support the store opening process in new markets by following up on individual milestones in the go-to-market plan. Securing a successful opening and operations according to the Store Operations Manual. He/She will build competence by training the local team to successfully fulfil their further expansion plans.
Duties and responsibilities
Business performance
Define and cascade store operations standards to drive retail excellence and the execution of our Franchise operations model and its guidelines. Liaise with franchisees on operational performance and agree on action plans for improvements. Support franchisees on maximizing revenue and optimizing costs spend, through improvement of processes and ways of working according to set standards.Leadership
Regularly mentor, coach, train, and support Franchisees towards excellence in store operations. Support and monitor store opening process after hand-over from store construction, especially for the first stores in a new market. Follow up on retail KPI’s for franchise stores related to operational excellence using qualitative follow ups as well our instore excellence reports and surveys.Store Operations Model
Continuously improve and build upon supporting materials, guidelines, and trainings for franchisees. Align internally on specific franchise needs on store operation and capture feedback from franchise partners. Monitor and review implementation of the Store Operations Manual in franchise markets and support franchisees to achieve excellence in execution.Expansion
Support market openings by following the go-to-market plan and securing the hyper care period. Train the local organisation to make sure they can open additional stores after. Secure franchise partners understand store staffing, needs and plan proper number of sales staffs depending on store specifics (sales, traffic, etc.).Core skills Showing extensive knowledge of retail operations and best practices
Being proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word Good analytical skills and critical thinking to interrogate and analyze information to drive conversations with franchisees about business decision Experience in developing and executing trainings for operational processes Fluent in English verbally and written Effective communication skills to engage teams, build relationships, explain patterns, advice the business and summarize complex financial arguments in a simple way Leadership skills to train, coach and motivate franchisees and their store teams to achieve excellent store operations executionPersonal Characteristics Flexible and pragmatic attitude Ability to connect, build relations and communicate effectively across cultures Ability to engage, motivate and mobilize teams on different locations; both virtual and face-to-face Great organizational skills and ability to perform and adapt to a high demand, time-sensitive, fast-paced changing environment
