Lillerød, Denmark Weibel Scientific AS Full time
Do you want to be part of the team that creates software for Weibel’s advanced Doppler radars?

At Weibel we develop Doppler radars. Our radars are highly advanced precision instruments used by our customers for real-time measurement and acquisition of data from multiple airborne targets. Our radars are used by space agencies, governments, and defence contractors. We are the best in our field and application software is an important enabler for our continuous success.

We are looking for a skilled C# developer with proved track record in development of Windows based application software. We are specifically looking for someone that knows how to develop software for configuration and control of machinery, instrumentation, or process equipment. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and motivated by the opportunity to create the business logic and UI that controls stuff in the physical domain – such as our huge and impressive instrumentation radars.

We are a team of software architects and developers. Our responsibility is to develop and maintain Weibels customer facing software, while working closely together with our sister departments algorithm, processing and embedded to release complete software bundles. We take the agile approach to project planning and execution, and we use DevOps on a wide scale to support our daily processes.

Our challenge is to keep our software up to date so that it supports the real-time and post-processing needs. We constantly work to improve UX and UI, which is key to fully utilize all the ground-breaking new radar features that we are adding to our systems. On one hand, the operator must have access to sophisticated and advanced functionality. On the other hand, the system must be able to limit the amount of information required to maintain the full overview during mission execution.

Develop and implement software to control advanced radar systems

You will be part of a team that develop and maintain code for handling UI, communication, calculations, data storage and much more. Your tasks will primarily be to:

  • Design and implement new functionality.
  • Optimize and develop our existing solutions.
  • Architectural and interface definitions in teams of 2-12 developers.
  • Develop unit and integration tests.
  • Review the code written by your colleagues.
  • System test in simulated environments and on full radar systems.

Our technical environment consists of Visual Studio C++/C#, .NET6, Git and Azure DevOps.

      Solid experience across Windows applications

You will be part of a team with extensive self-governance meaning it is the team that design and implement the solutions but at the same time are responsible for quality and deadlines. We have a user centric mind-set that enables us to keep track of details while ensuring that the end-user is provided with an intuitive and easily accessible solution.

    Your professional CV comprises:

    • Expert programming skills in C# and WPF.
    • Experience with development of Windows applications.
    • Experience with Azure DevOps.
    • Knowledge of parallel programming.
    • Good communication skills in English both written and spoken.

We expect you to have a technical background in software development for engineering, but we do not expect you to have radar knowledge. The most important thing is that you are motivated for a steep learning curve, we have a tailored introduction ready for you.

        Your new team

The team consists of 12 highly competent and dedicated colleagues, and we work closely together with the rest of Weibel’s software teams with approximately 50 developers across the different teams. We are a part of Weibel’s Technology department where you will join more than 140 engineering colleagues and together design and develop the best solutions for our customers. We have all of our development and production in-house and our engineering competencies spans across many technical fields such as system engineering, mechanical, electrical, hardware, software and technical design.

        Contact and application

Apply through our website using the ”Apply” button. If you have any questions, please reach out to Application Software manager, Jakob Seedorff on jas@weibel.dk.

The deadline is March 18th, 2024.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.
