Your role / what will you do? 

As our new Senior HSE Specialist in Onshore Wind, your role is instrumental in enhancing Health and Safety practices within our operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement the Business Area Wind HSE Management System and provide support to site managers in enhancing H&S awareness. Your responsibilities include conducting thorough risk assessments, facilitating training sessions, and conducting site walks to ensure compliance. Additionally, you will drive contractor cooperation and evaluation, ensuring timely reporting and investigation of incidents. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will prioritize targets and influence industry best practices, showcasing your expertise in H&S legislation and regulations. Your tasks and responsibilities encompass effective collaboration and adherence to Vattenfall's values and code of conduct.

Your tasks and responsibilities: 

Operational: Provide independent, authoritative advice to enhance Health and Safety practices. Collaborate with Onshore Wind, Solar & Batteries teams to implement the BA Wind HSE Management System. Support and coach the site manager for Denmark to increase H&S awareness and leadership. Conduct risk assessments, H&S training, and regular site walks to ensure compliance. Drive contractor evaluation, cooperation, and compliance with operational procedures. Ensure timely reporting, handling, and investigation of accidents/incidents. Coordinate and report on H&S status and performance on a weekly basis. Participate in safety assessments and incident investigations as required.

Drive Transformation and Improvement: Understand business strategies and support continuous improvement of H&S performance. Prioritize and drive progress on BA Wind HSE year plan, targets, and change initiatives. Influence industry best practice and promote H&S interests internally and externally.

Competences & Behavior: Demonstrate expertise in H&S legislation and regulations. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Uphold Vattenfall's values and code of conduct.

Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in an international organisation Knowledge about safety management Full and detailed understanding of applicable H&S-related legislation Experience in managing contractors as clients and/or principal contractors Experience in auditing and incident investigation Ability to prioritize own workload and organize tasks and time effectively, excellent problem-solving skills Solid use knowledge of MS Office Strong communication and language skills in both Danish and English are mandatory.
