The position
As a Senior Portfolio Complexity Specialist at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Become a key member of a small team that aims to design the future portfolio complexity framework, process, and governance for how we conduct recurring portfolio reviews and further integrate guardrails on complexity into the life cycle management of products and services.
  • Be a key part of ongoing portfolio optimization projects across the business from identification of simplification opportunities to securing strong execution hereof.
  • Analyze and set the direction across a broad set of portfolio optimization levers from product discontinuations to expansion of language neutral packaging and late-stage packaging with the aim to unlock capacity and serve more patients.
  • Act as interface between Production, Supply Chain, Commercial and Operations, working closely with functional experts to analyze the product portfolio and facilitate portfolio reviews to drive portfolio complexity reduction.
  • Have global impact and work in a transformation-oriented team requiring close coordination across multiple workstreams that will impact multiple functions.

Qualifications
To be our new Senior Portfolio Complexity Specialist, we are looking for an experienced candidate who can tick off most of the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in portfolio optimization or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to set direction across a broad set of portfolio optimization levers.
  • Experience in designing and implementing portfolio complexity frameworks and processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across functions and coordinate multiple workstreams.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to drive impactful changes.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry is preferred.

About the department
You will be part of our global Supply Chain organization, a large and diverse team dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of our patients. The Supply Chain Transformation Office (TMO) is a newly established function under the global NN Supply Chain. The TMO has been put in place to drive several strategic workstreams across the full end-to-end supply chain of NN. The department is growing to become a strong function of supply chain experts and leaders to drive changes across NN and ensure strong and impactful implementation in the line of business functions.
