Microsoft is on a mission to lead the era of Cloud & AI and we are actively seeking a sales specialist to join this mission across our Danish enterprise accounts.

As an Azure Data & AI Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in driving the adoption and growth of Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform and solutions. You’ll work closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to deliver cutting-edge projects that empower organizations to make informed decisions, drive innovation, and transform their businesses.

You will collaborate with a team of technical specialists and architects, partners, and consulting resources to advance the sales process and achieve/exceed quarterly revenue and usage/consumption targets in your assigned accounts.

Your role will be focused on driving Cloud adoption and growing the Azure Data & AI services within selective strategic enterprise accounts. To be successful, candidates should have both a sales and technical background.

Act as a thought-leader to define the Cloud & Data & AI strategy for your accounts, leading speaking engagements, highlighting industry-specific best practices & technical trends in the advanced Cloud space.

You will be responsible for driving the YoY growth of this business and its percentage of contribution to the overall Azure business in your territory.

Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of business, leading with a proactive sales approach, a high level of curiosity, deep customer understanding, and adopting a challenger mindset.

Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and services to lead the proposal or development of solutions that align with customer and Microsoft priorities. Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for new solutions.

Qualifications Proven years technology-related sales or account management experience specialising in data platform, analytics, or artificial intelligence (AI) technologies OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND a few years technology-related sales or account management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency working with data solutions, encompassing cloud-based data warehouses such as Hadoop, Spark, Data Lake, SQL solutions, and PostreSQL, as well as Machine Learning and AI solutions. Microsoft Azure Fundamental certifications Technical passion with good understanding of cloud architectural patterns leveraging managed or Platform-As-A-Service offerings, Infrastructure migration scenarios and rearchitecting applications with cloud native technologies including data & AI and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to act as trusted advisers and Analytics, Data and AI subject matter expert with core capability and expertise in Data Modernisation, Analytics and AI. We work with customers to leverage data to help them achieve their business priorities and help guide customers’ journey through Analytics-led Azure Data & AI transformation. We also support customers in evaluating their applications and business requirements, recommend solutions that meet their requirements, and demonstrate these solutions to win the technical decision.

Sales Execution

Engages in conversations with customers to introduce how workloads could enable digital transformation areas that is aligned with the customer's industry. Has a fundamental understanding of customers' business to initiate conversations with customers on digital transformation in the Data & AI, in collaboration with partners and services. Shares learning on digital transformation through seminars, workshops, Webinars, and direct engagement.

Collaborates with team members to discover new opportunities. Drives incremental revenue growth through personal campaigns (e.g., portfolio analysis) or internal sources (e.g., marketing, account teams). Collaborates with account teams, partners, or services to track, qualify, and expand new opportunities. Collaborates with other teams (e.g., account teams) and services to build pipeline. Interfaces with customers and builds relationships via social selling. Applies Microsoft's sales process (MSP) to determine the quality of the opportunity and whether to proceed.

Identifies opportunities to drive consumption and grow business with existing customers by initiating conversations, providing demos or quotes, and collaborating with partners or internal teams (e.g., Technical Sales Professionals, global black belts [GBBs]); or licensing transactions and project engagements, ensures rapid and robust deployment plan at point of sale that is validated by services and partners. Identifies, articulates, and facilitates the removal of blockers to consumption by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

Identifies customer business needs and technical readiness. Collaborates with internal teams, partners, and services to propose prioritized solutions that align with customers' needs. Leverages the value propositions to communicate business impact of proposed solutions.

Develops an understanding of external stakeholders' mapping, including who the decision makers and influencers are. Participates with account teams (e.g., Account Executives) in communication with business or subject matter decision makers at the customer's/partner's business.

Implements strategies to help accelerate the closing of deals in collaboration with other team members. Implements close plans (e.g., how to map timeline, engage the customer, get customer buy in and commitment) to de-risk and drive predictable deal closure.

Scaling and Collaboration: Leads the planning and execution on opportunities with resources and partners to cross-sell and up-sell. Identifies, leverages, and coordinates partners and resources across solution areas.

Technical Expertise Technical passion with good understanding of cloud architectural patterns leveraging managed Data & AI services or Platform-As-A-Service offerings. Researches competitor products, solutions, and/or services and collaborates with the "compete" global black belts (GBBs) to implement strategies to position Microsoft Cloud solutions against competitors in customer communication.
