About this opportunity

Welcome to the Nordea Corporate Development team, where we add value by building a user-centric Nordea Corporate web application (corporate.nordea.com). Our aim is to create a one stop shop for our large corporate customers by collating all of our services in a modern web based platform, like our existing single dealer FX trading platform e-Markets, daily banking and insights, and workflow automation and continuously add or improve areas in our service offering. We want a high quality scalable solution that turns complex workflows into suitable straight forward user journeys for our customers.

What you will be doing:

• Plan, design, develop, test, troubleshoot and support both our RESTful micro-services, that act as intermediary between the customer portal and internal systems components and programs
• Act as a technical sparring partner and contact point towards system analysts, product owners and architects
• Take your code all the way to production in close collaboration with our co-located operations team, as we are deploying our changes daily as soon as they are ready

You'll join a cross-functional agile team of talented and very technically-skilled people, working with modern technologies and tools – and prioritising learning culture and having fun in our daily work. The role has primary location in Høje Taastrup, but you’re also expected to work in close collaboration with our stakeholders in the Copenhagen city headquarter.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

• Have good communication skills and are able to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable way, and enjoys interacting with other people
• Are goal-oriented and takes responsibility for and focus on the big picture
• Are a quick learner that is interested in expanding your knowledge in the banking domain and all areas of software development.
• Are a software developer with Java knowledge
• Have some experience in developing RESTful micro services and clients
• Have some experience with databases, maybe Hibernate or JDBI

Additional background and/or skillset, that are useful in this role:

• Experience in Docker container development, support and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Experience in agile development, Scrum, SAFe, DevOps and Continuous Delivery
• Relevant university qualifications
