Senior Audio Engineer/Acoustic Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Audio Engineer/Acoustic Specialist to join our Audio Technology team. In this role, you will enhance our capabilities in optimizing the acoustic design and audio processing of future GN products.
As a Senior Audio Engineer/Acoustic Specialist, you will contribute to our mission of Bringing People Closer. Your work will be crucial in ensuring that only the user's voice is transmitted to the far-end with high and natural sound quality. This involves creating reliable voice pick-up and noise-reduction solutions that perform consistently across different head geometries and wearing styles.
The team you will be part of
The Audio Technology team develops audio technologies that make GN products the preferred choice for customers. We work closely with our research and product development teams. We focus on adding value for both internal and external customers, building on solid craftsmanship. Our approach is modular, constructing new technology on a robust and well-designed foundation. We verify and mature our technology through prototyping and thorough testing under realistic conditions.
Our team is diverse, with members from various nationalities, and we embrace personal and cultural differences. Our daily communication language is English. We share a learning culture where we support each other and learn from our mistakes - succeeding and failing as one team.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will: Use our acoustic simulation toolbox to optimize the acoustic design of future GN products considering variations in human anatomy and headset placement. Define requirements for the electro-acoustic design of future GN headsets based on your simulation work. Verify your simulations by carrying out reliable and repeatably acoustic measurements and other relevant sanity checks. Carry out acoustic simulations in close collaboration with our colleagues in product development. Optimize and define requirements to the acoustic design to make it work well with the audio signal processing. Support and take part in the development of audio signal processing algorithms.
To succeed in the role, we imagine that you
Have a degree within acoustic engineering, electrical engineering, physics or similar
Are experienced in carrying out acoustic simulations and building and verifying acoustic simulation models (analytical models like Transmission Matrix method/ Lumped Elements method). Have experience with the domain of acoustic measurements. Have experience with product development. Have an analytical mindset. Are pro-active in your approach towards your internal stakeholders. Candidates with experience in audio signal processing algorithm development are desired. Applicants with a background in electrical engineering will be favorably regarded.We encourage you to apply
