Student Assistant to Global Legal
2 months ago
Join us if you want to work in a Danish based, international pharmaceutical company and become part of a passionate team dedicated to supporting Lundbeck’s purpose of ‘Advancing Brain Health. Transforming Lives.’
Your new role
We are looking to hire a student assistant to our Corporate & Commercial Team, which is one of two legal teams in Global Legal, Compliance and Sustainability (“GLCS”).
You will support across the entire team and work on a large variety of tasks, such as contract review and drafting, updating standard agreements, data privacy related matters and process optimization and implementation. In addition, you will be handling practical and administrative tasks such as creating new cases in our filing system, onboarding new colleagues as well as archiving agreements. As part of your job, you will be responsible for your own portfolio of cases with expert guidance from your colleagues throughout the process.
We are flexible about your working hours with respect to lectures, exams, holidays, etc., and we expect corresponding flexibility from you. The working hours will average 15-20 hours per week, typically split over 2 – 3 days a week. We hope to find a candidate that can commence the employment as soon as possible.
Your future team
GLCS is based at our corporate headquarters in Valby, Denmark, and we have affiliated legal and compliance colleagues and functions around the globe. GLCS currently consists of 41 engaged employees.
Our new student assistant in Corporate & Commercial will be part of a team of 8 great colleagues. As part of Lundbeck’s global journey, the team provides ongoing legal support to our more than 50 global affiliates as well as commercial legal support through-out Lundbeck’s value chain. This support includes assistance with drafting and negotiation of contracts within a wide range of areas, such as procurement agreements (e.g., IT, supply of raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients and packaging, consultancy services, construction of buildings, large machinery and marketing) and commercial agreements (e.g., distribution and registration agreements). The team also provides corporate support to and interacts directly with our Board of Directors and Executive Management on e.g., corporate law matters, securities law, corporate governance and management remuneration.
You will report to Head of Corporate & Commercial, Jakob Østergaard Mikkelsen. Further, we will appoint a mentor to support your development and be your daily contact.
In GLCS, we have a lively and friendly atmosphere, and we try to meet for social events and team meetings as often as possible. Finally, we understand and respect that people have a life outside work. Free time is valuable and working hours are flexible to accommodate that.
What you bring to the team
Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:
- you are a law student (LL.B. or BSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law) and have completed at least 1 year of your studies;
- as a person, you are curious, eager to learn, and seek out new tasks;
- you want to improve your legal qualifications but are also willing to perform more practical and administrative work;
- you work independently, responsibly, and efficiently while maintaining a high degree of thoroughness and quality in your work;
- a global mindset and fluency in English
- you are social with a good sense of humor.
Our promise to you
