Transforming our approach to Data and Analytics is a fundamental part of this journey and we are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as the Lead / Principal Business Process Architect, reporting to our GDPR Programme Manager. 

About the job

As a Senior Solution Architect specializing in GDPR compliance, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of designing and implementing end-to-end IT solutions to ensure adherence to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standards within our organization. Your expertise will be pivotal in crafting comprehensive solutions to address data protection, privacy, consent management, data subject requests, deletion and retention policies, and automation of related processes. 

You will also:   Assessment of GDPR Requirements - Conduct thorough assessments of the Bank's GDPR requirements, identifying key areas of focus and potential challenges.  Design of Data Protection Framework - Collaborate with stakeholders to design robust Data Protection frameworks tailored to the organization's needs, including the incorporation of tools and processes for hosting Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA/DPIA), and implementing integration layers.  Review and Consultation - Engage with Danske Bank's Enterprise Architect team to review proposed designs and architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and future scalability.  Requirement Capturing - Work closely with Business Analysts, Functional Analysts, and the Data Protection and Data Management (DPDM) technical architect to capture comprehensive software development requirements.  Solution Design Leadership – to direct the technical design process from ideation to solution signoff for a large cross-functional team including programme/project personnel, business area/group function representatives, and technical team members.  Solution Implementation Leadership - Lead the implementation and development phases of the GDPR compliance solution, providing guidance and support to development teams and implementation project staff.  Oversee the creation of High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents to guide the development process. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:   Experience in End-to-End Product Development: Demonstrated expertise in designing and leading the end-to-end software development life cycle, from conceptualization to implementation and deployment.  Requirements Gathering: Proven ability to capture and translate business, functional, and technical requirements into actionable design and development plans.  Technical Documentation: High skills in generating detailed design and technical documentation, facilitating effective communication among stakeholders and development teams.  AWS Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud platforms is advantageous, as it may be utilized in the implementation of GDPR compliance solutions. 

This role is based in Copenhagen, though candidates in Lithuania may also be considered.

As a person you have the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including legal, compliance, and IT departments. 

As this is a role that focuses on GDPR we see that you have ​ significant knowledge and understanding of GDPR regulations and other data protection laws. Coupled with Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the banking or financial services sector. 

To enjoy this role, you will need to have solid understanding of business processes, data flows, and deep expertise in the design, development and deployment of information systems within a banking environment. 

You enjoy working with project management and poses high project management skills to plan and execute the team’s activities would be highly appreciated. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective solutions.
