Our client is seeking an experienced professional to join their rapidly growing team in the European gas markets as a Senior Quantitative Analyst. Our client is an energy trading and asset management firm focused on trading renewable energy and natural gas using quantitative analysis and automation. You will work closely with their algorithmic trading team and focus on building and refining fundamental models as well as designing new systematic trading strategies in an asset-backed gas portfolio. They are a fast growing and dynamic firm that trade on the EU and US markets. The firm prides itself on its friendly working culture, lack of bureaucracy and exceptional talent.

The Role: Lead the development and refinement of fundamental models. Research, develop and back-test trading strategies. Automate trading tasks and create trade execution tools. Test and validate existing models. Set the direction for the team and provide guidance to junior colleagues.

Requirements: Possess over four years of experience in a gas trading, research or analytics role. Excellent quantitative skill set in modelling, statistical analysis and the development of trading strategies. MSc or higher focusing on Mathematics / Physics / Engineering. Exhibit a keen eye for identifying opportunities in leveraging software for process automation. Proficient in English, both written and verbal. Excellent team working abilities. Strong coding skills. Python is preferred.
