Principal Statistician or Statistical Specialist

The position You will have a key role in one of our high-profile development projects. The project is about to start phase 3 clinical trial outline, and you will be involved in both ongoing phase 2 trials and outlining of phase 3 trials. You will take active part in the scientific and strategic discussions and key responsibilities include: Representing Biostatistics independently in several cross-functional fora Proactively engaging in scientific discussions and recommendations regarding innovative clinical trial designs, relevant data and endpoints, sample size considerations, and calculations Evaluating advanced statistical methodologies In your daily work, you will collaborate with e.g. medical specialists, clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, market access, health technology assessment etc. It is therefore important that you clearly communicate statistical concepts and ideas to all our stakeholders. You will be directly involved in the clinical trial conduct of larger outcome trials while mentoring less experienced colleagues and ensuring progress of the project. Within Biostatistics you will be working closely with the international project statistician who has the overall scientific responsibility for our deliverables. If you are looking for a challenging role that offers opportunities to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment and be part of a large group of knowledgeable colleagues, this is the job for you Qualifications The ideal candidate should have: strong background in mathematics and statistics corresponding to PhD level years of experience within clinical or biostatistical research It will be a strong advantage if you have experience: within the field of diabetes and/or obesity in a pharmaceutical company working with phase 2/3 clinical trials in project management and supervision of colleagues with R, SAS or other programming languages On a personal level, you are open, curious, and solution oriented. You value collaboration and sparring with colleagues. About the department Our Biostatistics organisation is people with the majority located in Denmark and India, and smaller teams in Spain, China, Japan, UK and US.
