About the Role: 

The Product Manager role is a tactical and strategic role with ownership of the Product Backlog and Stakeholder Engagement Processes for the POS application running in EMEA countries initially and, with time, expanding their competence to more markets. The role is anchored within Pandora’s Global Retail Technology Organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the POS product and the processes around it, to deliver value to our store staff, with the core mission of “simplifying store associates and store managers work through digital solutions that help them work more efficiently and sell better” . They will be responsible for strategy creation, product planning, management of backlog, and together with the development team build, launch and optimize features in our POS system. 

As part Retail Technology, you will be working closely with the Product Director, and other commercial and technology stakeholders as the representative of your team and product. 

Roles and Responsibilities: Own, develop and specify our backlog for the EMEA POS solution. Develop a detailed understanding of the processes and technology functionality that the POS product consists of Develop product strategy (now, next, later) based on collaboration with key stakeholders and guided by team mission and business benefits to pursue. Maintain the product roadmap, and prioritize features (quarterly) and stories (bi weekly)  Create and maintain roadmap features, and ensure, together with scrum masters that stories are sufficiently specified for the development team to work on prioritized features Work with functional consultants in the D space to ensure their work is aligned with the product backlog and their outputs support the OKR’s of the Retail Technology Team Drive the cadence of coordination and alignment with commercial stakeholders, and own the artifacts of coordination that can inform the product roadmap and feature prioritization. Collaborate with Delivery management in creation of complex Lean Business Canvas’ that include market analysis, costs, business/user benefits, OPEX & CAPEX calculations, output – working with stakeholders to align and agree. Carry out analysis of impact, scope, and technical dependencies for user stories, working with Engineering Manager, Architects, and the wider team to understand technical implications, as required. Set clear objectives and key results for new features, working in conjunction with analytics, if required Work collaboratively with other Product Managers to identify dependencies between product teams an define how to manage them. Schedule, plan, and drive critical Product governance sessions, e.g.: continuous refinement of the product backlog with the Scrum team through regular and frequent backlog refinement sessions. Own the ‘what’ of sprint planning meetings to provide clarity and elaborate user stories to help the team better understand the requirements. Define sprint goals and ensure that work is prioritized and prioritization is understood and aligned with the development team.  Actively engage in daily stand-up meetings, as required by the development team.  Contribute to sprint retrospectives to foster continuous improvement. As the expert for your product, be confident and forthright in your backlog, saying ‘no’ where the data and insights do not support following a particular path. Protect the Scrum team by confidently and diplomatically rejecting unnecessary changes to the sprint backlog mid-sprint. Own the business readiness for your features liaising with all parties involved to clearly communicate what will be released, and when. Actively participate within the community of Product Managers to foster best practice and consistency of approach. 

Experience Required: A team first mentality and behavior, with demonstrated success in prior organizations. Ideally 3 years experience in product management, demonstrating successful development and delivery of product strategies, roadmaps through to product launch, continuous development and optimization Passion for retail and technology Experience of owning digital products with multiple stakeholders and complex, competing priorities. Desired experience in D Commerce Experience of applying agile analysis techniques for defining and creating user stories and acceptance criteria Experience of producing high quality supporting artefacts to assist the team in the development of the feature (e.g., Roadmaps, Product Canvas, Story Map) Demonstrates pragmatic judgement, balancing risk, and business value to reach decisions which are well informed and actionable. Is proactive in planning to achieve targets and objectives which deliver profitable outcomes. Experience of applying data and insight to inform decision-making Experience of working with engineering teams and quickly understanding the technology landscape of the product area they were working in. Experience of prioritizing decisions based on the value of a feature and the estimated risk / time / technical complexity to deliver it into production use Strong team working, and collaboration skills demonstrated in Scrum/agile environments
