Job Description

Danfoss Fire Safety is looking for a hands-on Quality & Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS) Manager to join and lead our dynamic team of 2-3 employees in the current QEHS team in Odense.

The overall goal for this role will be to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction - both internally and externally - and to ensure business effectiveness through the implementation and application of approved quality management system and EHS processes across the site.

At Danfoss Fire Safety, we are specialists in fixed firefighting systems under the brand name SEM-SAFE.

Our firefighting systems are based on two key technologies: high-pressure water mist and low-pressure CO2. We are engineering a safer tomorrow for people and assets in buildings, industry, and the marine sector.

The position is located in Odense, Denmark. Working remotely for this position is very limited. Travelling can occur (est days per year). Speaking Danish is a requirement.

The QEHS manager will be referring to the Global Supply Chain Director.

Job Responsibilities

As our new QEHS Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our QEHS policies and programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QEHS management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:


• Develop, implement, and maintain QEHS policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with laws and regulations.


• Lead and manage QEHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate QEHS considerations into all business processes and projects.


• Provide training and support to employees on QEHS topics, ensuring a high level of awareness and engagement.


• Monitor and report on QEHS performance metrics, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions, as necessary.


• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, conducting root cause analyses and developing preventive measures.


• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, and ensure the company's QEHS policies remain up to date.


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management within the organization.

The ideal candidate has a hands-on approach to drive and execute initiatives, to follow-up and conclude, while informing and communicating effectively in the process. The candidate should not be afraid to work on different levels in the organization and with different kinds of tasks.

Background & Skills

To be considered for this position, you should have:


• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management, or a related field.


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in QEHS management, preferably within the production and manufacturing sector.


• In-depth knowledge of QEHS regulations, standards, and best practices.


• Proven experience in conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments.


• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO are highly desirable.

Furthermore, we expect that you:


• Are an open-minded, flexible, and well-organized individual with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.


• Have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.


• Are fluent in Danish and English, both verbally and in writing.
