Position

As a Principal Scientist in Research Bioanalysis, you will lead scientific initiatives, assess, and innovate novel analytical platforms, and ensure seamless data management, interpretation, and reporting. You will play a pivotal role in supporting projects with PK and PD data.

Our department specializes in ligand binding assays for non-regulatory use, leveraging technologies such as AlphaLISA, ELISA, MSD, and Gyros. You will be expected to exert your in-depth knowledge of assay platforms in scientific discussions and guidance of junior scientists and technicians. To meet the high demands for bioanalyses in a large research organization, you will also embrace and support the continuous development of automated assay platforms and digitalized of workflows.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Development and implementation of fit-for-purpose PK and biomarker assays Streamlining protocols and reports for enhanced efficiency Supporting strategies for digitalizing workflow processes Providing bioanalysis guidance to early research project teams Keeping updated on state-of-the-art analytical platforms Provide input to in vivo workflow management across departments Qualifications To thrive and succeed in this position, we expect you to have: PhD in biochemistry, pharmacology, biotechnology, or a similar field Profound industry experience in early research and bioanalysis Proficiency in quantitative analyses of proteins and peptides in biofluids Experience with immunoassay platforms such as AlphaLISA, MSD, ELISA, SIMOA As a person, you are curious and open-minded to new ideas, people, and challenges. You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to network and find solutions based on insights into scientific challenges. About the department The Department of Research Bioanalysis is situated within Global Research Technology in Maaloev, Denmark, and currently comprises six laboratory technicians, eight scientists, three associate scientists, and students. Our department is at the forefront of analyzing peptides and proteins in biological samples from animals (primarily plasma) and cell cultures. The data form the foundation for PK profiling and the assessment of the pharmacological effects of novel compounds. Our department offers support during the early research phase across various indications, including diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases. We are committed to expanding the use of automated analytical instruments and IT tools for sample and data management, which is required to refine workflows that span multiple departments.
