We are looking for a skilled, motivated, and energetic microbiologist to become a part of our Microbial Analysis Development Team for a full-time position in our development team in Biotech and Rare Disease (BRD).

The Position

The team, which consists of 6 academics and 4 laboratory technicians, is responsible for developing and implementing new technology and methods.

As an employee in our team, you will be responsible for:


• Development, validation and implement a rapid, automated sterility tests for our cell therapy projects.


• Equipment qualification.


• Optimization of our existing processes e.g., by introducing automated processes. This also entails being curious about how other teams and departments work, both within and outside Novo Nordisk.

This is a temporary fixed term position due to maternity leave cover.

Qualifications

You will be a great asset to our team because you have:

A Master ́s Degree or PhD in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacy, Engineering, or another relevant field within the natural science, preferably with experience with equipment qualification and implementation in the pharmaceutical industry. Full professional proficiency in oral and written English. You preferable have experience with: Molecular biology methods in general, E.g. qPCR. Microbiological methods in general. Wet lab work. Knowledge of Equipment qualification, cGMP and Method validation. As a professional, you can work in a structured manner, and you deliver to an agreed deadline. Also, you are curious by nature and a problem solver, with a strong interest in working with new technology, as you are innovative. Additionally, you embrace new ideas and changes and are not afraid to take lead and bring new solutions, processes, and improvements forward. Furthermore, we expect you to have strong communication skills and find it natural to establish new relationships across teams and departments. About the department Microbial Competence Center, BRD, is located in Gentofte, and consists of 42 employees, organized in 3 teams, team "Clinical Support", team "NGS Development" and team "New Methods". It is within the 'New Methods' team we seek a new colleague. We have a central support function in relation to microbiological analysis of Novo Nordisk Biotech and Rare Disease products under development, as well as our marketed products. The department is responsible microbiological methods for clinical phase 1-3 and for the following transfer of the analytical methods to our QC laboratories and clinical sites. The New Methods team is responsible for the development of new microbiological methods by introducing new technologies and it is for this team we are seeking a passionate scientist interested in state-of-the-art technology. Working at BRD, Novo Nordisk BRD is part of Novo Nordisk Product Supply, which is a global production network at the forefront of technology and quality production of pharmaceutical products. In BRD, we are not only supplying all Novo Nordisk products to people living with serious chronic diseases, but we also use our competences in biotech to support the growing efforts into completely new production platforms and therapy areas for Novo Nordisk.
