How you will make an impact

Your main goal is to develop new products, line extensions or optimize existing products within the mozzarella category. As such, you will be leading/ participating in product and process development projects of varying size and, with hands on approach, you will drive the activities from start to finish. This role puts you in a unique position to have a major impact on the future success of the organization.

We need you to be a technical specialist, but also have the ability to think strategically and work closely with business stakeholders. Other main responsibilities will include:

Turning concepts into innovative new products in order to give Arla a commercial advantage Optimizing the cost / value of new and existing products, working closely with commercial, procurement, suppliers, our supply chain and other stakeholders. Participating in product and process development projects, including planning of trials, recipe development and finalization, cost management, quality assurance, trial analyses within internal and external labs and legal assessment. Working closely with commercial and supply chain colleagues within the Mozzarella community to act as a strong and credible technical sparring partner in discussions. Documenting work in relevant system to ensure appropriate handover to functions and also ensure creation of ingredients and product specifications Leading product development workstream within broader projects, including being able to provide a clear status of a development project, opportunities, risks and timeline.

What will make you successful

You are a creative problem solver, who is driven by curiosity to deeply understand customer challenges and deliver product solutions that will delight them. You have an education at Bachelor's or Master's level in Food Science and Technology, Dairy Technology or similar. If you have been working 1-2 years within the dairy industry and/ or have experience with processing equipment within food or cheese manufacturing, you will get a head start.

Cross functional project management experience is important as well as being hands on. You are curious about process technology and its impact in product taste and functionality- you enjoy spending time in pilot plant, on site, in labs as you know this is where the magic happens, through relentless experimentation.

You must be fluent in English (verbal and written) in order to navigate in an international environment. (Danish is advantageous).

Finally, you are a good at communicating clearly, building personal relations both across organizational levels and externally. In addition, you are equipped with a sound business understanding and are skilled at driving projects from start to finish.
