The advertised job as Assistant Professor (tenure track) is a non-tenured position of max. 6 years leading to a tenured position as Associate Professor if the requirements are met. Assessment for tenure is based on a holistic evaluation of the candidate's profile and track record, in line with the CBS-wide and departmental REEAD model. Key elements include publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed outlets (AJG 3/4/4*, FT 50, and books with renowned publishing houses), applications for external funding and success in this area, satisfactory teaching evaluations, and participation in the assistant professor pedagogical program at CBS. It is important to us and in line with CBS values that TT assistant professors engage in academic citizenship, including being physically present, engaging with their colleagues, and participating in the department's activities on a regular basis. Finally, candidates should be able demonstrate impact of their research on practice and engage in dissemination towards academic and non-academic audiences. The detailed tenure requirements and process information are available upon request. The detailed tenure requirements and process information are available upon request.

Research Environment The Department of Business Humanities and Law is dedicated to an integrated approach to the contemporary challenges facing business and society drawing on the humanities, interdisciplinary social sciences, and law. It emphasizes problem-oriented research to understand those challenges and to build the lifelong capabilities necessary to address them. Faculty within the Department of Business Humanities and Law have diverse research backgrounds and research foci including but not limited to leadership, entrepreneurship, ethics, strategy, law, politics, economics, sociology, philosophy, history, anthropology, diversity, equity and inclusion, culture and leisure management. What unites faculty is an overriding concern for the organization of the human within its multiple environments and, by implication, a research interest in the interdisciplinary "conversation" between humanities and social sciences.

Within the Department of Business Humanities and Law, the position will be located in the Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Leadership Unit, an interdisciplinary research environment connecting leadership to business ethics and entrepreneurship. The candidate will also be invited to join the research group Leadership and Contemporary Challenges, which explores leadership in relation to the major challenges that organizations and society face in the twenty-first century, including the role of ethics in a changing global environment. The group asks how these grand challenges influence the practice and construction of contemporary leadership. By adopting a relational and processual understanding of leadership, it examines how societal challenges put different demands on leadership, and how these challenges demand us to reconsider inherited understandings of the relation between leadership and action.

Across CBS, the Department of Business Humanities and Law participates in numerous interdisciplinary activities, including the CBS Leadership Centre. Combining business economics with a deep understanding of societal challenges, the CBS Leadership Centre equips present and future leaders to set direction and create responsible results. It provides a meeting place for leaders and leadership development in Denmark and beyond and fosters inspiring interaction between researchers and leadership practitioners in organizations of all kinds. Given the interdisciplinary outlook of the Department of Business Humanities and Law and the department's engagement with other research environments, the candidate should demonstrate a capacity to bridge across disciplines and research groups.
