What you'll be doing day to day

During your leadership trainee program, you will be associated with the Returns, Goods Delivery, and Service departments in Customer Relations (CR) for this position. Throughout the program, you will develop your leadership skills and learn how to give and take responsibility. Most of the training takes place on the floor alongside your colleagues in the department. You will be involved in your manager's daily work, and in combination with a series of training modules, you will gain insight and the skills needed to lead and manage a department.

During your training, you will learn about:

1. Your leadership style, leading yourself and others, and IKEA's leadership philosophy
2. Coaching, development conversations, and handling difficult conversations
3. Recruitment, budgeting, and workforce planning

Additionally, you will gain both theoretical and practical experience in the retail industry and various business approaches. The leadership trainee program lasts approximately 18 months.

Additional Information

1. The position averages 37 hours per week under an individual contract.
2. You will participate in a rotating shift schedule, which includes both staffing and responsibility hours, and you will also have some influence over your own working hours according to the business's needs.
3. Working hours will be between 07:00 and 22:00.
4. You should expect to work 2 evenings per week and every other weekend.
5. Salary is based on qualifications and in accordance with IKEA's salary policy.
