With a Green-Michelin-starred Chef at the helm, the property will also feature locally sourced, seasonal cuisine as eclectic as the city itself at the signature restaurant and bar. Our Souschef is responsible for supporting the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional service. You will assist in menu planning, stock control, and overseeing food preparation, while supervising the kitchen brigade to maintain smooth and efficient service. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams, driving operational efficiency, and maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards. Strong communication skills and a focus on staff development and morale will be key to your success in this fast-paced environment.
About you...
- At least 2 years of experience as a Souschef or similar.
- Prior experience with a luxury hotel brand is a valuable asset.
- Oversee the opening of our Restaurant with our Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef for launch in Summer 2025, ensuring all operational details are in place for a successful start.
- You have experience supporting senior kitchen leadership in managing food production and ensuring the highest quality service for clients.
- You are skilled in supervising kitchen staff, including Chef de Parties.
- You have experience with managing stock levels and working closely with the Purchasing Department to maintain quality and efficiency.
- You are proactive in menu planning, recipe development, and continuously improving kitchen operations.
- You excel in communication, ensuring smooth collaboration between kitchen staff and other hotel departments to meet special requests and service needs.
- You are adept at managing staff rotas, fostering a positive and motivated team environment, and implementing training and development programs.
- You are focused on controlling food waste, managing utilities efficiently, and optimizing kitchen profitability.
- You are committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and equipment functionality in the kitchen.
- You are flexible to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
