Are you passionate about leadership and building value-adding products?
This role gives a phenomenal opportunity to lead and grow Software Engineers while contributing hands-on in a product team.

As a Competency Lead, you will work as a leader for 6-10 employees, ensuring we have the right skills and growing talents while also taking an active role in a product team as a Software Engineer.

Please note we don't have a relocation budget for this role.

  • Work on people skills and opportunities for growth, improvement, and training
  • Engage hands-on as an equal team member and Engineer in a product team
  • Promote good engineering practices in product teams
  • Drive technical excellence and DevSecOps culture
  • Support Agile Methodologies and Continuous Improvement

Play your part in our team's success
The Product Engineering Technology department provides solutions and technology for the engineering and manufacturing areas of the LEGO Group, supporting from design to produced LEGO elements, including areas like Element Design, Mould design, Mould production, Quality, and Moulding in the factories. This also includes supporting the Sustainable Materials agenda and Additive Manufacturing.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Several years of hands-on Software development experience
  • Deep understanding of technology, best practices, and skills needed in modern software development
  • Hands-on experience in cloud-native development and corresponding services as well as architecture design patterns
  • Strong curiosity about developing and inspiring others
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Being a standout colleague and embracing diversity

In addition, it would be phenomenal if you have:

  • Curiosity about working with Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing solutions
  • Knowledge about technologies behind Industry 4.0
  • Knowledge about PLCs and the OT area
  • Experience with container technologies like Docker and/or Kubernetes
