The Business Area Wind at Vattenfall is accountable for managing the Onshore and Offshore Wind and Solar PV & Battery operations. Currently, we are engaged in the development, construction, and operation of wind & solar generation projects across Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

Our Hamburg-based office operates Dan Tysk / Sandbank (DTSB). To ensure that the wind park operates safely, we have established an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team that requires internal resources from our H&S team. As part of the H&S team, you will play a vital role in the O&M team's success.

Your role / what will you do?
Your tasks and responsibilities

As an O&M H&S Specialist, you will be responsible for providing independent, authoritative advice, support, and assistance to the line organization regarding Health and Safety. This is a crucial role, especially when it comes to ensuring the safety of our offshore teams. To ensure that Vattenfall meets its statutory obligations and achieves operational excellence, you will implement Vattenfall's procedures and best practices to achieve high site safety performance.

Your main responsibilities:

1. Facilitate HIRA/HAZOP and support the development of Risk Assessments / Method Statements;
2. Monitor compliance on safety controls agreed to reduce the risk of the activities;
3. Assess contractor HSE plans, performance and compliance to Vattenfall requirements;
4. Report and investigate incidents, ensure close out of actions and implement learnings;
5. Support the behavior based safety program and critical control management program and coach site personnel in safety awareness;
6. Keep in close contact with offshore crews and the O&M managers when it comes to the planning;
7. Work together in the health and safety team and improve our performance in general by standardizing working methods across all offshore wind farms in Europe;
8. Help create a health and safety culture offshore and onshore.

Location

The role demands working on either the Offshore Accommodation Platform (OAP) or the Service Operation Vessel (SOV) in the German North Sea on a rotational basis (2 weeks on duty and 2 weeks off duty). Crew changes will be executed from the port of Esbjerg, Denmark. You must be adaptable and anticipate frequent travel requirements. Occasional travel to other Vattenfall Offshore Wind Farms and office locations throughout Europe may also be essential.

Your profile / who are you?
We are looking for a Health and Safety Specialist who can prioritize both personnel and business needs, and possesses proven expertise in coaching teams amidst challenging circumstances. Candidates with prior experience in Offshore Wind O&M operations are preferred, and a demonstrated affinity for the offshore wind industry is a prerequisite.

In this you have the following qualifications:

• The German FASI/SIFA Education will be prioritized, the education MVK / NEBOSH / IOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) will also be accepted.
