JOB DESCRIPTION

Grazper is seeking a Machine Learning / AI Scientist to join their team of highly talented engineers and developers, located in the heart of Copenhagen. You will join a market leader in human pose estimation and behavioral analysis and help shape Grazper's evolving machine learning and data pipeline.

Grazper's AI solution is a camera-based AI that can accurately track people's behavior in large physical environments. Their main office is located just next to The Marble Church in central Copenhagen and their innovative development lab is located at Refshaleøen. Grazper is part of the Yokogawa family and operates under the umbrella of a Japanese company that holds a great position in the Nikkei Stock index. This ownership structure gives Grazper opportunities to work deeply with product development and innovation.

The Grazper dataset is a unique and growing source of human pose data captured with bespoke technology in their development and recording facility at Refshaleøen. In addition to proprietary data, Grazper systematically investigates complementary data sources, algorithmic and network-based applications of pose data, and behavioral analysis. You will be responsible for basic and applied research in machine learning, image analysis, and network training as well as its application to engineering and product delivery. It is a plus, but not a requirement, if you are comfortable working with the technologies used in the current Grazper stack: C++ / Python / Typescript.

Your primary tasks and areas of responsibility:

• Conduct basic and applied research in machine learning and image analysis.
• Explore and analyze complementary data sources to enhance the understanding and utilization of human pose data.
• Develop and implement algorithms and methodologies for processing and analyzing human pose data.
• Design and implement experiments to evaluate the performance of machine learning models and algorithms.
• Contribute to the development of a modern MLOps pipeline to streamline model deployment, versioning, monitoring, and retraining.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and related fields and apply them to improve Grazper's technology and products.
• Communicate research findings, methodologies, and insights effectively to stakeholders within the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate is expected to have a PhD in math / physics / CS / ML or another relevant STEM subject. Alternatively, an MSc in either of these subjects combined with relevant experience.

Furthermore, Grazper prefers candidates who have:

• Worked with computer vision and image analysis.
• Industry experience or done applied work in academia.
• Software development experience and/or skills.
• Hands-on network training.
• Experience communicating complex technical ideas to peers and laypeople alike.
• Experience translating machine learning technologies into industry and consumer products.

Grazper has an informal yet ambitious working environment of highly qualified employees. With employees from different countries and nationalities in the main office, they have an international environment where English is the primary language.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The founders of Grazper have impressive track records and several successful commercial products behind them. Among other things, they co-created the original BAFTA-nominated Hitman game series and were members of the core development team of the Emmy-winning Havok physics engine. After a few years redefining how to deal with virtual worlds, plus a few machine learning escapades, they decided to move on to handling the real world – using AI.

They are a team of experts within Deep Learning, Computer Vision and 3D real-time graphics as well as experienced hardware and software implementation engineers. They all have the shared vision, to use AI to understand and model our world in a way that makes information understandable and accessible.

Grazper is owned by the Japanese company Yokogawa and their office is located centrally in Copenhagen. The office houses around 10 dedicated employees.
