Requirements
  • Ensure completed welds are captured on the weld logs daily, and that all information is correct.
  • Ensure welders are fully compliant with weld specifications.
  • Ensure all welder certs are valid and in date and recorded on Dalux for client reference.
  • Coordinate welder onboarding - Quality and safety inductions.
  • Coordinate welder skill tests and coupons.
  • Ensure all weld equipment is calibrated and maintained.
  • Ensure adequate weld plants and consumables are on site to meet project deadlines.
  • Assess and report welder performance, identify issues with welder performance and determine root cause. Coordinate outcome with construction manager.
  • Track all welding activities project hours, including variations for commercial alignment and tracking.
  • Work with construction manager to develop and maintain weekly work plans.
  • Ensure pipework is installed correctly as per isometric drawings.
  • Liaise and coordinate site activities alongside other trades.
  • Carry out weekly reports and issue to construction manager.
  • Manage welders on site.
  • Carry out weekly toolbox talks.
  • Attend whiteboard morning meetings.
  • Ensure the labour requirements are met and maintained as per project program requirements.
  • Ensure that the quality of the works is maintained at a high level.
  • Ensure that the sub-contractors are working as efficiently as possible.
  • Ensure that all variations and delays are notified to CM & PM.
  • Ensure all plant materials onsite are as per agreed specifications.
  • Ensure all delivered materials are coordinated and stored in a safe and secure manner.
  • Ensure all sub-contractors' plant and access equipment is certified and in good working condition.
  • Address health & safety issues on site and ensure that all sub-contractors are working in a safe manner.
  • Review ways of working and where possible implement changes to improve safety.
  • Ensure housekeeping is kept to a high standard by all sub-contractors.
