Connecting Passion with Opportunities | Animal LoverDiscipline Lead - Structural Engineering
Do you want to work on complex structural projects and impact the buildings of the future? Can you ensure quality and foster good collaboration on projects, serving as an important sparring partner to your colleagues? Are you an experienced structural engineer eager to be the voice of the structural discipline on multidisciplinary projects? Then, join our Structural Engineering department in Denmark, where we provide innovative and sustainable solutions shaping future buildings.
Shape a future where people and societies grow and flourish
We are looking for Structural Discipline Leads to join our offices in Aarhus, Aalborg, Vejle, Esbjerg, Odense, and Lyngby. You will contribute with expert knowledge in structural engineering. We are dedicated to meeting the growing demand for complex, sustainable buildings and champion innovative solutions. We work on some of Denmark's most significant construction projects, including the expansion of Copenhagen Airport and INCUBA Next.
Based in one of the mentioned offices, you will be part of Buildings & Industry, with about 1050 dedicated employees working on diverse projects domestically and internationally. This team also includes colleagues from Arkitema, with whom we collaborate closely.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Represent the structural discipline on multidisciplinary projects
- Build and maintain good relationships supporting collaboration between project parties
- Support and motivate your colleagues and serve as an important sparring partner
- Ensure quality and progress on construction projects
- Design structures for new buildings and renovation projects
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
The first step to success is your eagerness to collaborate with colleagues, partners, and clients. You should take on a leadership role within your structural team, setting the direction and fostering development through respectful actions and delivering on promises. You should also be open to exploring new insights and improvements.
Additionally, you will have:
- A degree in structural engineering and experience as a consulting structural engineer
- Skills in design, specification, monitoring, and supervision of construction projects, including structural documentation compliant with SBi 271 and BR18
- In-depth knowledge of norms, legislation, tender documentation, and technical descriptions
- Fluency in a Scandinavian language and English; certification as a structural engineer is advantageous, with support available for obtaining it
If you are a certified structural engineer, this is a plus but not mandatory for the role. We aim to increase our certified structural engineers at COWI and will support your certification process.
A place to work and so much more
At COWI, we collaborate with our clients to shape a sustainable and livable world. We apply our knowledge, curiosity, and sometimes courage, to create solutions that enable a better tomorrow. We are committed to moving away from fossil-based projects, aiming for 100% of our revenue to support sustainability.
We value diversity, development, and an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. Our over 7,500 employees worldwide bring expertise in engineering, architecture, energy, and environment, working across Scandinavia, the UK, North America, and India.
