Taastrup, Høje-Taastrup Kommune, Denmark WSP Danmark Full time

We, WSP, are one of the world's leading engineering companies with business divisions in infrastructure, transportation, environment, energy, and buildings. We have a clear vision of how we want to make the world a better place by giving back to society and supporting what is truly important for our future. Imagine a better future for all of us – and a better future for you.

What if you could work in a place full of opportunities?

We are looking for a project manager for our office in Høje Taastrup.

As a project manager for railway projects at WSP Denmark, you will be responsible for managing time, finances, staffing, and quality of our railway projects. We work for Banedanmark, DSB, Metroselskabet & Hovedstadens Letbane, and Odense Letbane. In addition, there will also be the opportunity to become part of our large global network of professional colleagues within Rail & Transit and thereby work on international projects in the long term.

At WSP, you will be employed by one of the world's leading consultants, where we work to future-proof our cities and environment. You will be part of our Future Ready innovation programme, which helps us design for the future and incorporate developments in climate, society, technology, and resources into our projects.

With us, you get access to international experts and professional networks, where we work together across disciplines and geographical boundaries to solve the tasks in the best possible way for the benefit of our customers and society.

The team

You will be part of our Railway & Bridges department, where there are 15 skilled colleagues who work with both railway and bridge projects. We are a diverse department with several different nationalities and backgrounds. The everyday language in the department is a mixture of Danish and English, but all joint meetings in the department are held in English.

Your tasks

At WSP, we want to give you tasks that help you develop professionally and personally, but you are not alone in them. We work together and help each other. You will work with the following:

  • Project management on Danish railway projects and in the long term on international projects in the UK, the Nordic countries, etc.
  • Overall responsible for deliveries, quality, staffing, and finances on our Danish railway projects.
  • Participation in the preparation of offers and sales in Denmark as well as on international projects in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Motivate your project employees to deliver the best possible quality within the agreed time and economy.

Your skills and competencies

Competence development becomes a natural part of everyday life through sparring with colleagues and ongoing experience from projects. We imagine that you will be a great fit for the job if you can recognize the following:

  • Project management on infrastructure projects for one or more of the following Danish rail infrastructure managers: Banedanmark, DSB, Metroselskabet & Hovedstadens Letbane, Sund & Bælt, Aarhus Letbane, Odense Letbane, Lokaltog, or other local railways.
  • It is very positively weighted if you have significant experience with project management on infrastructure projects for Banedanmark.
  • You have experience with:
    • Interdisciplinary coordination between different railway disciplines.
    • At least 3 years of experience in consulting and design of railway projects.
    • Professional communication in Danish and English.
    • Structured approach with a focus on quality and financial management.

What if you could work in a world full of opportunities?

With WSP, you get a workplace focused on both professional and personal growth. Because we know that work is not everything. We attach great importance to the fact that there is also room for family, friends, hobbies - and for yourself. That's why we offer flexibility in terms of working from home and working hours, so you can adapt your work life to your life.

We prioritise a good working environment and a strong social dimension in our working life. Our employee associations arrange well-attended social activities, and we have a good canteen with the possibility of to-go dinners and at several locations there is a massage scheme. We have a wide range of employee benefits in WSP, including pension scheme, health insurance, and share purchase programme.

It is important to us that you are happy to go to work. We strive to create a friendly and inclusive culture with respect for each other, and we value diversity and work actively for equality. At WSP, flexibility is at the heart of how we work.
