Quantitative Developer at EIO Energy in Aarhus N

For our client, EIO Energy, we are looking for a Quantitative Developer to join their team. Are you passionate about building efficient models to predict prices, trends, and more in the electricity market? Do you have strong coding skills? Are you interested in market processes and enjoy collaborating with analysts, traders, and other developers?

If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you

  • You are naturally curious and eager to learn. New challenges excite you, and when a topic fascinates you, you dive deep into it.
  • You always ask "why." You seek context to understand the full picture and thrive in complex environments.
  • You make data-driven decisions because data enhances precision and accuracy. You have a natural talent for working with numbers and a critical mindset.
  • You quickly visualize scenarios and patterns when planning. You have a keen interest in the future, technology, and new trends.
  • Integrity is crucial to you. When you make a commitment, you take ownership, and you expect the same from your colleagues.
  • You are highly organized. You structure your work meticulously and dislike delivering anything that hasn't been thoroughly reviewed.
  • You thrive in a workplace with a welcoming and friendly culture. You value teamwork and enjoy being part of a supportive environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust predictive models for pricing and market trends.
  • Collaborate with analysts and traders to understand their needs and translate them into effective modeling solutions.
  • Identify projects and models that add value—and recognize those that do not.
  • Continuously gather knowledge about the market and spot trends to benefit the team.

What We Expect from You

  • A Master's or PhD degree in a technical field such as Economics, Physics, Data Science, etc. Alternatively, equivalent education combined with professional experience that equips you with the necessary skills.
  • Experience with Python, including Pandas, NumPy, and one or more modeling/ML libraries.
  • Experience with modeling or model development.
  • Professional-level English proficiency (spoken and written).
  • Danish proficiency is a plus but not mandatory.
  • EU work permit and residency in Denmark.

Nice-to-Haves (Not Required, but a Plus):

  • 1+ years of work experience.
  • Experience with Git for version control.
  • Experience using APIs as both a consumer and provider, including designing and implementing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices.

About EIO Energy and Our Team Culture

EIO Energy is a newer energy trading company based in Aarhus. They take a quantitative approach to trading, meaning every decision is backed by data. Through a fund, they are giving both private and institutional investors access to returns from European energy markets.

At EIO Energy, they embrace a 'freedom with responsibility' mindset.

What do we mean by freedom with responsibility? They hire people they trust to excel at what they do. And what they don't know, they teach them. They foster a workplace where autonomy is key, and employees thrive under the responsibility they take on. When you enjoy solving problems, you naturally take ownership, and high quality follows.

What the Offer

  • Flexible working hours – as long as the work gets done, we offer a lot of freedom.
  • A fantastic team with a great sense of humor – we believe work should be fun
  • Possibly the best lunch arrangement in Aarhus N.
  • Free gym access in the building.
