The position

Our department is growing and therefore we are looking for a new manager. In this position, you will lead a team of highly competent and experienced Quality professionals and specialists who are working with Quality processes and projects to support our Affiliates.

You will have the responsibility to ensure that skills and competences in the team are in place and, together with your team, you will ensure to build and maintain a close collaboration with our stakeholders. Simplicity is built into our processes and the way we work and is a continuous focus in the department. To succeed, you must be a visible leader, who is good at listening to your team and who sets a clear direction. You provide sparring and coaching, and you support the thrive and development of your employees.

You will refer directly to the Director and will be a member of QAS management and OSQ leadership team. Duties will include:

  • Continuous daily operation of Quality Affiliate Support.
  • Provide quality support and knowledge transfer in order to safeguard the licence to operate in Novo Nordisk affiliates worldwide.
  • Identify and implement training and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality compliance in Operations and based on signals and trends in e.g. audits and inspections.
  • Be the voice of affiliates in various headquarter forums and projects.
  • Relevant onboarding program for quality colleagues in Operations.
  • Communication of changes to QMS affecting Operations.
  • Improvement and optimization of processes to match stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

The most important asset that you can bring into this job is a well-developed understanding of leadership and quality and a natural urge to handle issues at the right level, make decisions and follow-up.

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • MSc in Natural Science e.g. Engineering, pharmacy or equivalent background.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with strong people skills incl. 2+ years as people manager.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience from an international pharmaceutical industry.
  • Solid business understanding and knowledge of the Novo Nordisk organisation and product portfolio.
  • Strong GxP background, providing a good understanding and knowledge of regulatory requirements, as a minimum with GDP but preferably also within GMP and strong understanding of Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience in working internationally.
  • Proven track record of creating business results.
  • Proven change management experience or a strong experience in project management.
  • Experience from affiliate and from working with quality in affiliates is a clear advantage.

You have a can-do attitude proactively striving for higher levels of performance not being afraid of being challenged by peers and employees. You need to have an excellent quality mind-set being able to balance compliance and product quality when making decisions and can stay firm when needed to secure the quality and compliance aspects.

You are well organized and create strong results by engaging your employees in taking pride in delivering on their objectives.

You are self-driven and can work independently but understand that teamwork is on top of the agenda, and a requirement for us to succeed.

It is essential that you thrive in working with people and in developing people and the organisation.

About the department

Quality Affiliate Support (QAS) comprises of 12 highly qualified people who are responsible for overseeing quality compliance and optimising processes in affiliates worldwide, of which 8 will be in this new team. In addition, it consists of a team handling counterfeit cases and managing the process of ensuring confirmation of possible pharma crime cases. Finally, the area also includes a team in Global Business Services in India supporting affiliates on core Quality processes. The team is diverse on many levels; backgrounds, knowledge, education, nationality, and competences, which is crucial and mirrors our need and ability to understand and help our colleagues worldwide.
