Chief Technology Risk Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Risk Manager to lead and enhance our bank's technology risk management framework. As a key leader within the Risk & Compliance division, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating technology-related risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

This role is crucial in strengthening our cybersecurity posture, IT governance, and operational resilience. You will collaborate with senior leadership, IT teams, and external regulators to ensure robust risk management practices across our digital banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology risk management framework aligned with regulatory requirements (e.g., EBA, NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Conduct risk assessments across IT infrastructure, cloud computing, data security, and digital banking platforms.
  • Lead efforts to mitigate risks related to cybersecurity, third-party vendors, IT operations, and emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, cloud, etc.).
  • Collaborate with IT, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to ensure regulatory and internal policy adherence.
  • Oversee incident response and ensure effective crisis management protocols.
  • Provide regular risk reporting to senior management, board committees, and regulators.
  • Drive awareness and training programs on technology risk management for employees.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Risk Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology risk management, IT governance, or cybersecurity, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations (EBA, GDPR, DORA, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud security, operational resilience, and third-party risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical risks into business impact.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with senior leadership and regulators.
