Job Summary:

As Sales Team Leader for heavy industries, you will drive the commercial strategy across the four Nordic markets. This role focuses on effective leadership of sales engineers and inside sales engineers as well as driving revenue growth through business development and key account management. You will provide clear direction and motivational leadership, ensuring the sales team aligns with the company’s core values of safety, collaboration, customer focus, excellence, integrity and respect. A key aspect of this role includes monitoring and managing Sales KPIs, forecasting and planning using Business Information tools, and ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.

You’ll represent the company at customer meetings, conferences, and exhibitions while actively contributing to organic growth through close collaboration with EMEA colleagues and cross-functional commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Increase Watson Marlow market share by developing and implementing commercial plans that expand the company's presence and drive growth within heavy industry in the Nordic markets.
  • Monitor, manage, and report on all Sales KPIs, providing regular updates on sales performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Generate sales forecasts and plans using appropriate Business Information tools, ensuring alignment with ROI sales goals.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and delegating activities across direct reports.
  • Coach and support sales teams to explore and leverage sales opportunities, conducting one-on-one reviews with all direct reports to ensure effective communication, understanding of training and development needs, and to provide insight into performance opportunities.
  • Partner with EMEA Customer Support functions to ensure seamless customer experiences, successful project delivery, and business growth.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, conferences, and exhibitions. Travel to other Group facilities may also be required to support regional networks and activities related to organic business growth.

Skills/Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field, or equivalent technical experience within a relevant industry, is required.
  • Strong commercial background with indepth knowledge of operational sales. You know how to excel in account management, business development and sales strategy.
  • Previous experience building and leading a dynamic technical sales team, ideally within a regional role. You will be able to recruit, coach and grow sales professionals in an technical environment.
  • Due to the nature of the business, you need technical sales experience selling process equipment, capital equipment, fluid handling or similar services/products to customers, preferable within the heavy industry sectors.
  • Experience within an aligned multinational manufacturer is a preferred.
