The position
As the Senior Director for Medical & Science Patient Focused Drug Development, you will be leading a team of 10 colleagues with diverse knowledge and cultural background. Together you will incorporate patients' voices in clinical drug development at Novo Nordisk by generating various types of Patient Experience Data across drug development lifecycle and therapeutic areas in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Enhancing organizational readiness for Patient Focused Drug Development by driving a compelling vision and enabling breakthrough strategies
- Leading team performance and maintaining industry-leading domain of expertise by developing competencies of the people you lead via coaching and providing guidance
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to effectively plan, generate, and report patient experience data in clinical trials
- Engaging with external stakeholders to amplify patients' voices in clinical drug development and healthcare decision-making
- Collaborating closely with other leaders in M&S CoE and take an active part in developing the VP area as well as a lead role in various organizational improvement projects

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- MSc and above degree related to Life Science
- 5+ years of experience in clinical drug development or the pharmaceutical industry including a high degree of business understanding
- People management experiences is preferred
- Due to the high complexity of the tasks and responsibilities, the role requires an excellent ability to work and collaborate across boundaries and a high degree of influence skills
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written

- People management experiences is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in clinical drug development or the pharmaceutical industry including a high degree of business understanding

About the department
Medical Science Innovation is a newly established CVP area and part of Novo Nordisk Clinical Development & Project Leadership, located in Søborg, Copenhagen area, Denmark. The CVP area is overall responsible for strengthening medical and scientific innovation across the clinical trial portfolio globally. It consists of 80+ highly skilled and diverse employees divided in four VP units: Precision Medicine, Biomarkers & Diagnostics Centre of Expertise; Innovative Medical Evidence Generation; Medical & Science Devices & Digital Health; and Medical & Science Centre of Expertise. The position as Senior Director Patient Focused Drug Development reports to VP Medical & Science Centre of Expertise. The Medical & Science Centre of Expertise connects the organization, supports strategy, and drives scientific medical deliverables. We collaborate across projects and with academic partners, ensuring high scientific standards and fostering clinical trial innovation.
