Biomedical Laboratory Scientist/Laboratory Technician for an exciting R&D position global biotech company

Are you passionate about laboratory work and eager to be part of an innovative, global biotech company? IO Biotech is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Biomedical Laboratory Scientist or laboratory technician to join our R&D department in Copenhagen. This is a temporary position for six months, with the possibility of extension.

As part of our dynamic team of nearly 30 employees in Nørrebro, you will have a versatile role in an international environment, working with groundbreaking research and development.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation and aliquoting of reagents, media, and buffers
  2. Receipt and registration of samples, as well as maintenance of laboratory equipment
  3. Culturing and maintenance of cell cultures from primary cells and cell lines, PBMC isolation, and cryopreservation of cells
  4. Conducting laboratory analyses, including ELISpot, PCR, DNA/RNA purification, and flow cytometry
  5. Chemical handling, including updating safety data sheets and conducting chemical risk assessments
  6. Inventory management, including ordering and restocking laboratory supplies
  7. Updating databases such as freezer inventories and laboratory records
Expected Qualifications
  1. Have experience with cell culture
  2. Have experience with sterile techniques
  3. Have a systematic approach to quality assurance and laboratory safety
  4. Have strong IT skills and experience with the Microsoft Office suite
  5. Are comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken, as English is our daily working language
