Software Engineering Manager – Copenhagen

We're incredibly excited to be working with one of Europe's most exciting tech startups, as they continue their journey of becoming the leader in their space.

As part of that journey, they're looking to add an experienced Engineering Manager to their team.

The Role

As an Engineering Manager in their web team, you'll be leading a team of 6-8 developers who work with a stack of TypeScript, React & Python.

Your job? To foster a culture of high-performance, quality output & creating an environment where your team creates a beautiful customer experience.

Customer experience is the key part here – this should always be at the forefront of your mind. The platform you work on is used daily by the companies' customers, who have varying levels of technical knowledge.

Outside of that, you'll get the chance to make high-level technical & architectural decisions, work closely with other internal leaders & implement processes to improve developer experience.

The Company

With a headcount of approximately 400 employees already, they're in a great position already. That said, they're looking to grow by another 200-300 people in the next three years – so this is a great time to join

Their platform is used by coaches and analysts across the world to record, analyse & review the performance of their team consistently.

Their mission is a truly positive one. They believe that no matter your background, current situation or location – you should have the ability to showcase your work.

The Package

Having visited their offices, I can honestly say they are the coolest ones I've had the pleasure of being in. Based in Copenhagen, they really value onsite work & most people are in the office for the majority of the week. They approach this in a very trust-driven way though, and you're free to decide when you're in the office or at home.

This role has a base salary on offer of 60,000 – 75,000 DKK per month.

On top of that, you'll receive a strong pension, private healthcare, onsite gym & sports facilities, 30 days' vacation etc.

The Hiring Process

  • Call with hiring manager (VP Engineering) – 30-45 minutes
  • Technical interview with VP, Principal Engineer & Product Lead – 60-90 minutes
  • Cultural interview – internal team – 30 minutes
  • Chat with CTO – 30 minutes

Depending on availability, the final three stages could be merged into one day.
