Vestas Global Procurement is an award-winning, best-in-class Procurement function within the world's leading OEM for sustainable Energy Solutions. We are overall responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, including co-leading cross-functional Module teams, negotiations, value creation initiatives, Module strategy development and implementation, and Supplier Account Management. The Direct Materials procurement department is globally responsible for procurement of all direct materials for our global product portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a procurement strategy that aligns with an industrial pull system, working closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure seamless integration with inventory management, demand forecasting, and supplier lead times.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure they can meet the requirements of the pull system, including setting expectations for inventory levels, lead times, and order replenishment based on actual demand.
• Continuously monitor and analyze supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement in the pull system, including identifying bottlenecks and optimizing order frequency.
• Work closely with logistics, production, and finance departments to ensure proper integration of the pull system into broader supply chain operations.
• Identify potential risks within the supply chain related to the pull system and develop mitigation plans.
• Support capturing cost reductions from the introduction of an industrial pull system.
• Lead efforts to continuously refine the pull system by gathering feedback from suppliers and internal teams, analyzing data, and implementing improvements based on performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or logistics.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships and implementing supply chain improvements.
• Relevant certifications such as CPM, APICS, CPSM, or CIPS.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analysis tools.
• Accountability for team performance and responsibility for decisions.
• Able to build trust and empower project teams for full engagement and utilization of skills.
• Open, direct, and honest communication to ensure full transparency and alignment.
• Curiosity and diligence in project execution, with a focus on cooperation and stakeholder management.
• Situational leadership skills to lead over distance and across cultures.
