Senior Engineer at ZeroNorth

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Cross Technical Enablement team and play a crucial role in our journey towards a greener planet.

As part of our team, you'll leverage your skills in software development and DevEx/DevOps to build and maintain developer tooling to maximise ZeroNorth's ability to deliver code and architecture cost-efficiently and reduce the environmental impact of maritime operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • To deliver code and architecture cost-efficiently and with high quality.

  • Evangelise standards, procedures, templates and workflows within ZeroNorth.

  • Solving problems, writing elegant, efficient code, and utilising new techniques and technology.

  • Driving projects involving developers, data engineers, and data scientists from teams across the company.

  • Help design, develop and maintain technical solutions, whether it be proof-of-concepts, MVPs or fully-fledged product offerings.

Your profile:

  • Proven experience as a DevEx/DevOps or Platform engineer (more Dev than Ops).

  • 6+ years of software development experience in Python and/or Golang (knowledge of TypeScript and/or C# .NET is a plus, but not a requirement).

  • Specialist knowledge of AWS and cloud solution architecture.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, is self driven, with excellent communication abilities, and a knack for adapting to new challenges.

  • Experience in data platform engineering is a plus.

  • Most likely, a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
