Opportunities for your role
As our Executive Chef, you will lead a vibrant and energetic team of passionate kitchen staff. Together, you will strive to deliver the best service possible. You will help recruit, train, evaluate, lead and motivate your team members together with your sous chefs.
You will play an important role in shaping the guest experience, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and living the Grand Joanne values: "Be Joanne. Be nice. Be local. Be there".
You will be part of the management team which consists of yourself, the Restaurant-, Operations- and General Manager. We expect that our managers will not onlyoversee but alsopartake in the daily operations.
What you will be doing:
- Leading the kitchen team, consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner staff
- Working shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Implementing and living Grand Joanne's core values, service standards and policies - both internally and externally.
- Managing schedules, training, and development of the kitchen team according to union laws.
- Creating and optimizing menus throughout the hotel outlets,keeping cost control in mind.
- Collaborating closely with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Ordering and maintaining stock.
- Reporting quality and hygiene controls (Esmiley).
- Implementing and following up on SOP's, cleaning and service standards.
Who you are:
- Educated chef with management experience from similar roles.
- Able to communicate inEnglish on a professional level, both written and verbal. Additional Scandinavian languages are preferred.
- You have a calm, positive and solution-oriented mindset.
- You are experienced in creating menus for à la carte and banqueting purposes.
