Within recent years, we have advised, designed, and implemented a significant number of process optimization programs serving some of the largest companies within consumer, life science, manufacturing, and the public sector. Working within the Process Excellence area gives us the opportunity to support our clients in improving the execution and automation of their operational finance processes and optimize their operating model.

CFO Advisory is a cornerstone of KPMG's agenda to grow and serve our clients with our world-class Process Excellence framework, Powered Enterprise. Our services comprise assessing and designing more efficient and effective finance processes and operating models. The CFO Advisory team in Denmark consists of 60+ professionals, with a diverse and international profile. Our Danish office location is situated in Copenhagen.

In KPMG's Process Excellence team, which is part of CFO Advisory, you will have the opportunity to advise leading Danish and international companies on Process Excellence and act as a trusted advisor in their decision-making processes. You will join a team of experienced professionals who bring excellence to clients across the spectrum of CFO advisory for a range of purposes (e.g., Process Excellence, Process Automation, Global Business Services, Finance Transformation, Financial Controls, Process Mining, etc.).

Assist our clients in optimizing and leading their Finance Process Excellence initiatives.

The Process Excellence team's approach focuses on streamlining finance operations, improving process efficiency, and aligning performance with strategic goals. Our expertise lies in helping clients enhance their financial processes through automation, process standardization, and continuous improvement, ensuring operational excellence.

Our strength in Process Excellence comes from a combination of deep financial expertise, industry-specific knowledge, and a suite of tools tailored to optimize financial workflows. With a global network of seasoned professionals, we provide customized solutions that empower CFOs and finance teams to transform processes, optimize cost structures, and drive sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities and Disciplines within Process Excellence:

  • Strong understanding of process design, improvement, and automation, with the ability to implement efficient workflows.
  • Experience advising and implementing Finance Target Operating Models, focusing on improving processes in terms of quality, control, and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven approach to identify process bottlenecks and develop solutions using financial modeling, data analysis, and process mapping.
  • Participate in client engagements focused on optimizing financial processes through the development and implementation of new designs, technologies, and best practices.
  • Work on project teams consisting of consultants and subject matter experts, ensuring effective delivery, adherence to timelines, and achievement of project goals.
  • Conduct process diagnostics to assess current finance processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose actionable recommendations for improvement and optimization.
  • Develop business cases, implementation roadmaps, and project plans to drive transformative initiatives, ensuring sustainable improvements and alignment with long-term goals.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Finance Process Excellence practice by identifying new market opportunities, developing new solutions, and creating thought leadership content to stay ahead of industry trends.

About You, Our Newest Team Member

We imagine you hold a master's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field of education. You have one to two plus years of relevant experience in operational finance processes, either with experience from a professional services firm or from finance functions in industries. You thrive in a cooperative and collaborative team environment, and you are open-minded, creative, and ambitious. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, building strong client relationships.
