About the department
The Safety Surveillance Office is a newly established department within Safety Surveillance in Global Safety and is situated in Søborg, Denmark. In Safety Surveillance, we are 180+ employees and have a global responsibility for the surveillance of all safety information for Novo Nordisk's products, that are currently marketed or under clinical development.
The department is responsible for ensuring strict compliance with regulations, including overseeing deviations, inspections, and audits. In addition, we drive and oversee the Safety Surveillance Council, ensuring the governance of SOPs and procedures. Another main role is to encompass continuous training efforts, process innovation and optimization, acting as a point of contact for Due Diligences, serving as a center of expertise for product integrations, and driving the execution of Data Monitoring Committees across the Safety Surveillance function.
The team will consist of ~8 employees who are highly independent specialists and professionals with a medical and life science background, and a dedicated team of administrative assistants driving Data Monitoring Committees. The team is specialised within their respective areas of expertise, working across Safety Surveillance and with key stakeholders from other areas in Global Safety and across the development organisation.
